Restorative dentistry

Restorative dentistry involves restoring damage to teeth that is brought about by decay, trauma, tooth wear and various inherited defects.

There are many different types of dental restorations but they may be classified into two main categories: direct and indirect.

Direct restorations are inserted into or applied to the tooth in a soft state in a single visit. These are commonly referred to as ‘fillings’.

Indirect restorations are fabricated on a model of the teeth outside of the patient’s mouth. They include veneers, crowns, dentures and bridgework.

At Aspendale Gardens Dental Group our aim is  to return your teeth to their natural appearance  and function using a range  restorative materials.
